In 1956 I was introduced to an untidy band of art students in Melbourne. For thirty cents each we were able to hire a good professional model for life drawing classes. Being Melbourne we were of course visited regularly by the police, who were too mean to pay their thirty cents.
National Service soon provided me with more than a thousand subjects who could not avoid me-every one of them was a portrait opportunity. Three years later I managed to gain a Diploma in Commercial Illustrating.
To keep the story short, there have been a few awards. This old-fashioned style and high quality are rare now. Please enjoy my pictures. It continues to be a great journey for me. This has been made possible by my dear Family and friends.
